Zoo Keepers!

Hi friends,

First of all, thank you once again for taking care of the animals for us - it’s a huge help and we’re so happy to have you take care of them !

MEALS

Momo eats twice a day, Nahua just once at dinner. Breakfast around 9-10 in the morning, dinner around 20, but they can be flexible.

WATER

Their water bowl is next to the kitchen, so please check regularly that they have fresh water. We tried to give each their own water bowl but they prefer to drink out of the same one…

WHAT TO FEED PER MEAL

Dog: 300 grams of dry food plus one half of a package of raw meat. We’ve left them in the freezer but they need to be thawed before giving it to him. We recommend thawing one package at a time.

When he finishes everything, he’ll press the “premios” button in front of his bowl to get one Denta Styx which you’ll find the pantry.

Cat: Two capfulls of dry food (you’ll find the cap inside the bag), plus a little bit of Nahua’s raw meat at night because otherwise she gets jealous and won’t eat.

WALKS

Dog: He needs to go out 3 times a day:

  1. 20-30 minutes in the morning after breakfast (8-10 am)

  2. 1 hour in the afternoon between 2-5pm (as long as it’s not too hot or too dark )

  3. One last one in the evening in the Hinterhof for a last pee and if he’s not a jerk, a poo

You can find his harness hanging on the back of the entrance door as well as his leash. We recommend to put the leash on the harness and at the beginning also put a loop around his neck for a little more control. Once in parks, you can take the collar off if you’d like.

There’s two towels behind the entrance door to dry off/clean his paws if they’re muddy or wet.

He loves the dog park and you can take him there if you feel comfortable, but if you don’t, long walks/playing with you in a park is also great!

There’s also a longer, orange leash in one of the bags hanging from the same door with a tennis ball if you want to take him to a park and let him run around, but please don’t let him off the leash in non-dog parks.

He’s very good in public transport and at cafes/restaurants. Please don’t leave him outside if you go in a store, he gets very scared - it’s better to leave him at home if he can’t go in.

If you want, you can take him out at night but he can be nervous. There’s a collar that lights up also hanging from the door so you and others can see him.

Cat: Doesn’t go out for walks but LOVES to play. She particularly likes to fetch rolled up post-its

TREATS

There’s cat treats (Dreamies) and bones for the dog in the pantry, as well as training treats in the cabinet next to the kitchen door.

Please don’t give Nahua anything that’s not his food or treats - he’s got a sensitive stomach and anything out of the ordinary can give him indigestion

TOILET

Dog: You can find doggy poop bags in the pantry in a box, but we’ll also leave a few rolls next to the basket on top of the shoe cabinet.

Cat: Her litter should be cleaned about 3 times per week so the apartment won’t smell. The scoop you can find hanging next to her litter box in the bathroom. You can use the dog bags for her waste and toss them into the general trash in the Hinterhof below.
